Glenn Miles
Glenn Miles is a PhD candidate at Swansea University and is also completing a PGCE. His background is child health nursing and public health, mainly in Asia (Cambodia, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand). He has a Masters in Child Health from GOS Institute of Child Health in London. He has lectured at Swansea in the Anthropology, Childhood, Development Studies and Nursing units. He also teaches at Warwick University in International Child Health.
In the past year he has also taught post-graduate courses in Malaysia and the Philippines. He is rolling out the Celebrating Children course through facilitators in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, East Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand over the next 2 years.
His PhD research took 5 years while he was working with Tearfund as their Children at Risk Facilitator in Cambodia. It focused on maltreatment of children their and children’s understandings of violence including trafficking. He is currently writing up.
Rowena Hidalgo
Rowena Hidalgo, a Filipina, has been a training professional for 20 years. Her skills include the design and development of training programs and training materials tailored to the needs of clientele, training documentation, materials development and training management.
12 years ago she embarked in a career in organizational development focusing on the design and development of coaching programs for the achievement of personal and organizational goals. She firmly believes in the value of fun and participation and always takes these into consideration in her work.

Marion and Les Derbyshire
Marion and Les Derbyshire researched and created the manual for running the Celebration Children Training Course. They have also produced four training handbooks for Christian Ministry for ‘children at risk’ under the auspices of The Viva Network. They are currently undertaking research into the rehabilitation of children who have been imprisoned.
Marion is an educator and writer; she has also written a complete course for distance learning tutors and numerous journal and magazine articles. Les is experienced in computer layout and web site design, construction and maintenance.
