At the end of this module students will be able to understand the different ways children become 'at risk' and the resilience they have to cope with difficult circumstances and how this might be strengthened.

Module 4: Holistic Mission to children
At the end of this module students should be able to understand some of God's heart for children, critically look at the churches response to God's call and look at how this challenges current beliefs of fatalism and suffering.

Module 5: Working with Children: Practical Issues
At the end of this module students should be able to understand a range of practical skills and knowledge in working directly with children

Module 6: Child Protection and Helping Traumatized Children
At the end of this module the participants should understand the importance of developing child protection policies to protect children, staff and organizations. They should also understand how to look for signs of abuse and some methodologies in which abused children can be helped.

Module 7: Development, Evaluation and Monitoring of Programmes
At the end of this module students should be able to understand the importance of finding out about a situation before commencing a project, of monitoring as a project progresses and of evaluating projects at the end of the project cycle. They will also have the opportunity to do an evaluation of an aspect of their own project.
