MODULE FIVE - Working With Children: Practical Issues
At the end of this module the student should be able to appreciate a range of practical skills and knowledge in working directly with children
The module starts by considering the skills and characteristics needed in those working with children, and gives practical approaches on how these can be developed.
One session looks at HIV/AIDS and the key messages that children and youth need to learn to give them the confidence to behave in a way that will protect them from contracting the disease
Time is spent looking at the key messages that enable children to understand and protect themselves from the risk domestic violence, sexual abuse and corporal
