MODULE EIGHT - Self Development & Staff Development
This module discusses the very important subject matter of self development and staff development.
Session 1 discusses how to recognize staff strengths and also how to deal with the vulnerabilities that the staff experience and the actions organizations can take to address the needs of staff. Several assessment activities are included in this session to determine how staff feel about themselves and about the work that they do.
Session 2 presents practical guidelines for Christians working with children and emphasizes the need for self-care in order to become better servants.
The third session encourages participants to examine the different motivations of staff who join Christian organizations as well as to see the great value of spiritual refreshment, encouragement and rest in energizing the staff.
Session 4 emphasizes the value of emotional awareness in the work done with children at risk in Christian organizations.
The last session takes a very close look at how conflict escalates, how conflict can be resolved and prevented within organizations.
